It is always a great experience using Elegant Themes’ WordPress themes. They have come up with 87 different themes each with different style and layout. No matter which type of theme you require, you will always get it here on Elegant Themes. Here I am sharing my experience with a multipurpose WordPress theme by ET called Trim.

Trim has very less stylistic, lightweight design suitable for multiple purposes. It has fine tailored boxed layout with more focus on homepage. It has animations for navigation bar menus. Then it comes packed with featured slider for homepage that will feature articles and even pages. The homepage is made up of different sections that will help showcase recent work, blog, 3 content areas to show pages in vertical format and quote for homepage. So layout wise this theme is good enough and suitable for blog websites.

Page load speed:
The PageSpeed score depends on the demo page content, caching of the page, number of HTTP requests, Image sizes and lot many other parameters. I checked the Google PageSpeed of Trim official demo on Mobile and Desktop mode. The Performance is quiet impressive on both devices. It is recommended to use W3 Total Cache plugin for speeding up site.
Search Engine Optimization:
Basic search engine optimization is done such as,
On Single Post, the title is in <H1> tag
In-built Breadcrumb available for better navigation for Search bot
It is advised to use Yoast SEO WordPress plugin for even better SEO for the site.
I have scanned this theme with TAC plugin for authenticity and with Theme Check plugin for WordPress standards of theme code, the result is as shown below:
TAC shows that it has hardcoded/static links in footer.php which is not an issue as these are not malicious scripts. But theme checker has given lot of warnings which needs to be resolved.
